Derek Pearce

DEREK PEARCE taught art at Wimbledon School of Art, been a stage carpenter at the Young Vic and founded the comedy band Roaring Jelly which recorded and toured for 12 years. As a composer and musical director he has worked in the theatre, on radio, on several Channel 4 TV programmes and the BBC 2 drama 'Marvellous' which won two Bafta awards.


Derek’s ‘Water Tables’ have sold all over the world and been exhibited in Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, Glasgow and Birmingham. The glass table tops represent water surfaces supported by sleeping hippos, diving ducks, leaping dolphins and seals in rock pools – They are carved in wood and some cast in bronze
