Fresh Art Fair Alexandra Palace January 2026
Fresh: Art Fair Alexandra Palace London January 2026

The recent Fresh: Art Fair at Alexandra Palace (January 29 – February 1, 2026) was a vibrant start to the London art calendar, and we were thrilled to see the Art and Horse Racing Gallery bringing their unique equestrian flair to the "Ally Pally" West Hall.
A Fresh Perspective at Alexandra Palace
Known as "London's friendliest art fair," Fresh: returned for another year, transforming the iconic Victorian venue into a bustling hub of creativity. With over 70 leading galleries exhibiting thousands of artworks—ranging from contemporary rising stars to modern masters like Picasso and Hockney—the atmosphere was one of accessible luxury and artistic discovery.
The event kicked off with a sophisticated Private View on Thursday evening, where guests enjoyed complimentary wine and got the first look at the collections on display. For the rest of the weekend, the fair hummed with energy as collectors and families alike explored everything from large-scale sculptures to delicate ceramics.
Spotlight: Art and Horse Racing Gallery (Stand A3)
Representing the heart of British racing from their base in Newmarket, the Art and Horse Racing Gallery occupied a prime position at Stand A3. The gallery stood out for its niche expertise, bridging the gap between fine art and the high-octane world of the turf.
One of the standout pieces at the stand was Brooke Major’s "Mont Saint Michel" (2024), a stunning work that captured the gallery's signature blend of traditional subject matter and contemporary technique. Visitors were drawn to the stall not only for the high-quality equine portraiture but for the authentic story behind the gallery—which is famously located within active horse racing training stables in Newmarket.
Bridging Newmarket and London
For many London collectors, the fair provided a rare opportunity to engage with the specialized roster of the Art and Horse Racing Gallery without leaving the city. The gallery’s participation highlighted how equine art continues to evolve, offering sophisticated aesthetic choices for both private homes and corporate spaces looking to reflect a heritage of excellence and speed.
